SUMMARY REPORT ABOUT A HEALTH CAMP HELD ON 1ST NOVEMBER 2025 AT MOTHER OF MERCY HOSPITAL KYENGERA

The camp was conducted as part of the Parish day celebrations of St. Joseph Kyengera Catholic Parish celebrating 17 years of existence. This was a way of giving back to the community.

CAMP PARTICIPANTS

It was organized by the Medical Fraternity of Kyengera Catholic Parish led by Dr. Rosemary Nassanga the Supervisor of our hospital and Urologist. Mother of Mercy Hospital was the venue with full participation in all camp activities. Other members who volunteered in the activity included staff from:

  1. Nsambya Hospital,
  2. Mulago National Referral Hospital,
  3. Lubaga Hospital,
  4. Kyengera Health Centre 111,
  5. Rotary Club of Kampala Central,
  6. Rotary Kyengera Town,
  7. Rotary Club of Kyengera,
  8. Hospice Africa Uganda,
  9. Mengo Hospital,
  10. Kampala Institute of Health Science and Technology,
  11. Association of Surgeons Uganda,
  12. Dental School Mulago, and several pharmacies that donated drugs and sundries for the camp.

The camp operation was approved by the District Director of Health Services Wakiso District and supervised by the Deputy In-charge of Kyengera Health Centre 111.

  3. Ultra-Sound Scan Services
  4. Blood Donation
  5. Cancer of the Cervix and Cancer of the Prostate screening
  6. Circumcision
  7. Gynaecology services,
  8. General medical services,
  9. HIV/ TB
  10. Urology Services
